Mechanical characteristics of needle-punch materials processed by different methods

  • Published:
Fibre Chemistry Aims and scope

Processing of needle-punch materials containing a bicomponent fibre on the proposed equipment increases the tensile deformation resistance but does not increase the strength. The needle-punch materials stretch in two stages, which reflects the nonuniform distribution of the fibre packing density during needle punching. The fibre diameter ensures their distribution within and between bundles.
