Adsorption of oil from aqueous solutions by materials of various origins

  • Published:
Fibre Chemistry Aims and scope

Efficient materials have been found to be activated carbon fibers, thermally expanded graphite, and foam polyphenolcarbamide. In the adsorption of oil from aqueous solutions, the degrees of extraction have been 91, 84, and 84% respectively. Equal performance is obtained from combined highly filled structures based on dispersions of sorbents and polypropylene nonwoven materials.
