Oil Sorbent from Polyethylene-Terephthalate Wastes

  • Published:
Chemical and Petroleum Engineering Aims and scope

Composites of polymer sorbents from waste polyethylene terephthalate, thermally expanded graphite (TEG), oxidized graphite (OG), and blowing agent are developed. Their physicomechanical properties (friability, grindability, density, porosity, specific surface area), surface structure, adsorption properties, and toxicity are investigated.
