Aspergillines K and L, Two New Anti-TMV Indole Alkaloids from Fungus Aspergillus versicolor Derived from Tobacco

  • Published:
Chemistry of Natural Compounds Aims and scope

Two new (1 and 2) and four known (36) CPA-type indole alkaloids were isolated from the fungus Aspergillus versicolor. Their structures were determined by means of HR-ESI-MS and extensive 1D and 2D NMR spectroscopic studies. Compounds 1 and 2 were tested for their anti-tobacco mosaic virus (anti-TMV) activity. The results showed that compounds 1 and 2 demonstrated potential anti-TMV activity with inhibition rates within the range 29.2 and 30.1% respectively.
