A New Benzenoid Derivative from an Endophytic Fungus in Peperomia sui

  • Published:
Chemistry of Natural Compounds Aims and scope

A new benzenoid, phomopsuidiol (1), was isolated from nature for the first time from the n-BuOH extract derived from cultures of the endophytic fungus 10F0011 found in the whole plant of Peperomia sui. The 10F0011 strain was identified as Phomopsis sp. The structure of the isolated compound was elucidated by one- and two-dimensional nuclear magnetic resonance and mass spectrometry and by comparison with related compounds from the literature.
