New Monoesters of 3′,4′-Dihydroseselin from Seseli campestre Root Resin

  • Published:
Chemistry of Natural Compounds Aims and scope

New monoesters of 3′,4′-dihydroseselin of formula C19H20O6 (1), mp 122–123°C, and a colorless pitch of formula C19H20O6 (2) were isolated from Seseli campestre Bess. root resin. Their structures were elucidated using IR, PMR, 13C NMR, and DEPT 135 and 90 spectral data as 3′α-angeloyloxy-4′β-hydroxy-3′,4′- dihydroseselin (1) and 3′α-hydroxy-4′β-senecioyloxy-3′,4-dihydroseselin (2).
