Abstract

The calculation of atmospheric neutrino ux in HKKM04 [1] is over viewed, examining the error due to the calculation scheme. It is found to be ∼ 5 % at 0.1 GeV and decrease rapidly with neutrino energy. Then, the accuracies of the interaction model and resulted atmospheric neutrino uxes are studied using atmospheric muon data. We estimate the possible error in the ux value of HKKM04 is less than 10 % in 1–10 GeV, although we find DPMJET-III
