Abstract
A mechanochemical treatment and subsequent high temperature annealing strategy was developed for the synthesis of nitrogen-doped carbon supported cobalt catalysts. The as-prepared Co/NC800 catalyst was demonstrated for efficient and selective hydrogenation of furfural into furfuryl-based alcohols and amines with good to excellent yields under optimum conditions.
