A design of a classifier with coaxially placed pipes wherein a structured swirl flow is formed, which enables separation of particles of a fixed size from gas with 65–75 % efficiency, is proposed. With decrease of design dimensions of the classifier the separation boundary of the bulk material shifts toward smaller size ranges. Best results are obtained if the width of the rectangular slots in the internal pipe of the classifier is 10 mm because at this width the bulk material is separated in the classifier with practically no change of efficiency. Pressure loss in the classifier with coaxially placed pipes ranges from 110 to 405 Pa if the height of the rectangular slot is reduced from 30 to 10 mm and its width is reduced from 10 to 3 mm.
