Modernization of a sharply bending elbow in a steel pipeline

  • Published:
Chemical and Petroleum Engineering Aims and scope

A production scheme for the fabrication of a protective blade of an elbow is analyzed. It is demonstrated that the simplest process (bending of a steel strip over a cylinder), which makes it possible to easily install a blade within the elbow, does not ensure the required theoretical profile, and, consequently, an effective modernized article.
