The formulation of an optimal control problem, taking account of the specific nature of an existing prototype facility for obtaining a catalyst for olefin oligomerization and olefin polymerization, is validated. The direct and adjoint equations are constructed. The application of nonlinear programming algorithms and the theory of Pontryagin’s maximum principle made it possible to obtain a minimum of the functional, i.e., to decrease the process time.
