Role of Serotoninergic System in the Development of Gastrointestinal Diseases

Experimental gastroduodenal ulcer was simulated after pre-injection of serotonin; gastroesophageal reflux disease and duodenogastral reflux were induced. Activation of the serotoninergic system promoted the development of alteration processes in gastroduodenal ulcer.
