Distribution of the Fission Reaction rate in a Weakly Coupled System for Testing the Checkerboard Model

  • Published:
Atomic Energy Aims and scope

The distributions of the fission reaction rate in a weakly coupled system of the Kef of the World class are analyzed. The distribution of the fission reaction rate for different working parameters and initial neutron distribution is presented. The MCU-FREE and MCNP5 computer codes are used to perform the calculations. The working parameters for obtaining the correct fission reaction rate distribution are recommended. The problem of the sensitivity of the main neutron-physical characteristics to small perturbations in weakly coupled systems requires further study.
