Abstract

In a recent paper Bouziane and Annou (Astrophys. Space Sci. 366:121, 2021) investigate the propagation of shock waves in a specific plasma model through the Korteweg-de Vries-Burgers equation, find its solutions and analyze those graphically. Unfortunately, the analysis is not correct, as a comparison with earlier papers on the tanh method for the KdVB equation shows, and the proposed solution does not annul the KdVB equation. Consequently, the graphics shown are also deficient.
