  1. Although such an analysis is inconsistent with a number of best practice recommendations for the selection of control variables (Becker et al., 2016; Bernerth & Aguinis, 2016; Carlson & Wu, 2012), we also note that the negative pornography-sexual satisfaction association maintained in the NSSHB (partial r = -0.07, p = 0.003) and NSPRSS (partial r = -0.10, p = 0.011) when all of the hypothesized confounds were simultaneously adjusted for.
