Abstract

Bioassay-guided fractionation of an extract of a marine sponge species, Haliclona, led to the isolation and identification of new peptides, Haliclonamides C, D, and E. Their structures were determined by spectroscopic methods. These compounds showed repellent activity against the blue mussel Mytilus edulis galloprovincialis.
