Summary.
Two new mild oxidizing agents, quinaldinium fluorochromate and quinaldinium dichromate, were prepared and characterized. These reagents are suitable to oxidize various primary and secondary alcohols to the corresponding carbonyl compounds and anthracene to antraquinone in good yields.
