Correction to: International Journal of Biometeorology
This correction is to rectify an error in the “Materials and Methods” section in the original article. The authors incorrectly stated that the controls used in the case-crossover methodology occurred prior to each heat event. In fact, the controls occur both before and after the heat event, in accordance with the approach described by Barnett and Dobson (2010). This does not impact the results or any interpretation of them. The authors apologize for the error.
