Dear Editor:
We thank Dr. Cochrane for his comments. As he alluded to, it was he who introduced the use of the U-drape to the operating room at BC Children’s Hospital many years ago, when he came from Calgary. In the technical note, we have focused on the ability of this type of draping to maintain fixation of the head of a young child to allow reasonably accurate use of a frameless stereotaxic system [1]. We do agree, as Dr. Cochrane has pointed out, that there are additional potential benefits of this type of drape.
