Abstract
Motoric intelligence can be considered as being specific to human development and the direction is essentially determined during the first months of life, whereas phylogenetic factors only determine the general direction. In this relatively vulnerable phase, disturbances of the spinal motoric and in particular the function of the atlanto-occipital joint play a disproportionately important role. These contributing factors will be presented based on the latest literature and clinical experience in order to increase the sensibility for possibilities and limits of functional therapy.
Notes
