We read with interest the recent case report by Kasthuri et al. concerning the percutaneous ultrasound-guided thrombin injection of endoleaks [1]. In this article, the authors claimed that this is the first time, to their knowledge, that this technique has been described. A more thorough literature search might have revealed our virtually identical case published in this journal in 2003 [2]. We would, however, be interested in the long-term follow-up of this patient, as we noticed in our case, and indeed in a subsequent case that we performed, that there was a recurrence of a type 2 endoleak (at a different location) 6–12 months following the procedure.
