Sir,
We thank Dr. Vazquez et al. [1] for their careful attention to our article [2]. We did inadvertently indicate that the authors had reported a complication of perforation after manual reduction of intussusception, whereas they indeed reported a complication of volvulus [3]. We commend Dr. Vazquez et al. for their important ongoing work on the subject of ultrasound-monitored external manual reduction of intussusception, and we apologize for our oversight. The main conclusion of our paper — which provides a better understanding of both trends in and diversity of current practices of intussusception reduction — is not altered.
