The Editor-in-Chief has retracted this article. After publication, concerns were raised regarding similarities between different Control group images in the figures. Specifically:

In Fig. 2, panels a and d appear to overlap, with the area labelled “cv” placed differently in the two images;

In Fig. 4, panels a and g appear to overlap.
The first author has stated that the raw data are no longer available due to the age of the article.
The Editor-in-Chief therefore no longer has confidence in the presented data.
Ahmed Aly Allam has stated on behalf of all authors that they do not agree to this retraction.
