Due to an unfortunate oversight the sentence “Also, the fact that some carbonates, such as siliciclastic rocks, may be less sensitive to compaction adds another level of complexity.” is not given correctly.
It should read:
“Also, the fact that some carbonates, compared to siliciclastic rocks, may be less sensitive to compaction adds another level of complexity.”
The authors apologise for this mistake.
