Abstract.

Quantitation capabilities of Laser Ablation ICP-MS (LA-ICP-MS) are a key factor for various applications. The LA-ICP-MS analysis of the NIST glass standards is very common for the optimisation of the instrument sensitivity and to establish the response curve. A new series of glass standards have been produced consisting of synthetic values for 45 elements. In order to evaluate these new standards, combined calibration graphs between both sets of standards were carried out. Using the new glass standards, the NIST glasses could also be characterised for the non-certified elements. The correlation between the different sets of glass standards is shown.
