Gamma Loop Studies in the Iron-Silicon And Iron-Silicon-Titanium Systems

Abstract

Dilation studies were made on 15 binary and 38 ternary alloys to determine the Ac3 transformation temperature. Points taken from temperature vs expansion curves were used to establish the limit of the γ iron region in the iron-silicon and the ironsilicon-titanium systems.
