Abstract

The Political and Philosophical Situation: Post-Modernism

For the author the main theme of Post-Modernism is the return of the difference. He shows that Enlightenment and Revolution universalism is only another type of particularism. Nazist and Stalinist terror signify the reinvestment of an archaic type of law and destiny. We cannot hope any longer to maintain a universalist approach to human cultures.
