Additional information

Leonid V. Azaroff received his Ph.D. from M.I.T. in January, 1954. He worked as a Research Physicist in the Physics of Solids Section of the Armour Research Foundation (Chicago) from September, 1953 to September, 1956, when he was appointed Associate Professor of Metallurgical Engineering Illinois Institute of Technology and full Professor in September, 1960. In January, 1966, he came to the University of Connecticut where he still is Director of the Institute of Materials Science and Professor of Physics. In February, 1976, he was elected to the first President of the newly formed Connecticut Academy of Science and Engineering. Dr. Azaroff has 66 technical publications including 7 books.
