Zusammenfassungen

In den letzten Jahren lässt sich eine zunehmende Entwicklung und Nutzung von Open Source (OS) beobachten. Insbesondere im Rahmen von Cloud Computing können mit den heute verfügbaren OS-Systemen effizient und kostengünstig Cloud-Management-Plattformen aufgebaut werden. Diese bieten sich als Alternative zu kommerziellen Anbietern an und ermöglichen die Implementierung von privaten, hybriden und Community-Cloud-Lösungen. Es besteht jedoch bei vielen Unternehmen noch Unsicherheit und ein Informationsdefizit. Der Beitrag stellt daher Grundlagen dar, vergleicht bestehende OS-Cloud-Management-Plattformen und gibt — u.a. anhand einer Fallstudie — konkrete Einsatzempfehlungen.
