Zusammenfassungen

Die mittelfristige Planung von standortübergreifenden Produktions- und Distributionsmengen in einer Supply Chain wird im Rahmen eines Advanced-Planning-Ansatzes als Master Planning bezeichnet. Die Durchführung dieser Planungsaufgabe wird softwaretechnisch durch die Komponente Advanced Planner and Optimizer (APO) aus dem Softwarepaket SCM (Supply Chain Management) der Firma SAP unterstützt. In dem untersuchten Unternehmen — einem Hersteller von Blumenerden mit mehreren Produktionsund Distributionsstandorten in Deutschland — wird zur Durchführung des Master Planning das APO-Modul Supply Network Planning (SNP) verwendet. Das Unternehmen verfolgt dabei das Ziel, die Summe der Beschaffungs-, Produktions-, Lagerhaltungs- und Transportkosten zu minimieren. Besonderer Fokus liegt auf der Integration mit dem bereits vorhandenen SAP-ERP-System (Enterprise Resource Planning).
