Calidad de vida relacionada con la salud: definición y utilización en la práctica médica

Resumen

En este trabajo se revisa el concepto de calidad de vida relacionada con la salud, su definición, su composición, su medición y su utilización. Se enfatizan el hecho de que se trata de un concepto compuesto por varias dimensiones y los problemas que entraña su interpretación debido a este hecho. La CVRS es uno de los conceptos más consolidados dentro de la IRS; permite incorporar con facilidad la perspectiva del paciente a los estudios médicos y, en especial, a los fármaco-económicos.
