New inline engines for heavy-duty trucks from DaimlerChrysler

Abstract

Two new engines for heavy duty trucks, the OM 457 LA (12 litres displacement) as a Euro 3 version for the new heavy-duty tractor AXOR for markets in Western Europe and Turkey and the MBE 4000 (12.8 litres displacement) with EPA certification as a compact engine for the Class 8 vehicles in NAFTA, provide solutions for COE (cab-over-engine) trucks in Europe and Latin America as well as conventional trucks in the NAFTA market.
