Abstract
In applications like the so-called smart airbags, FRAM memory technology has been established, as shown in the example of the automotive electronics supplier Hyundai Autonet. This article by Ramtron International Corporation shows how FRAM (ferroelectric random access memory) works, compares the technology to other memory concepts and demonstrates its advantages in the example “smart airbag”.
