Abstract
It is hard to imagine today’s modern diesel engine cars without diesel particulate filters. The diesel particulate filter today constitutes the state of the art. By reducing soot emissions, it contributes significantly towards preserving air quality, particularly in urban areas. This article by Arvin Meritor describes new techniques for reducing soot.
