Abstract

Components, modules and systems made of plastics are becoming increasingly important in engine compartments today. Woco’s experience in developing all types of components related to turbo systems and the firm’s expertise in using polymers have enabled the company to develop many innovative product solutions. One of Woco’s latest new developments in this arena is a compressor housing made of plastic for exhaust gas turbochargers. Aside from its lower costs and lighter weight, plastic offers unmatched flexibility — especially important for integrating components such as silencers, control elements, and regulating elements.
