Abstract

In response to the worldwide tightening of the exhaust gas regulations (USA, JAPAN, EU) and the political tendency to mandate the introduction of technically feasible solutions, an increasing number of automotive manufacturers are introducing diesel particulate filter systems in their diesel vehicles. In the wake of the market success and the proven reliability of a diesel particulate filter system, other automotive manufacturers are also following this trend.
