Abstract
Many of the components that help assure the safety and comfort of today’s vehicles incorporate bearing materials that have been carefully selected to deliver optimal performance. Metal-polymer or polymer plain bearings are often the best choice for these applications. GGB, formerly Glacier Garlock Bearings, offers the automotive industry an extensive range of products to meet the most demanding requirements. This article describes some of these applications and performance parameters for which they are specifically designed.
