Microstructure-property relationships in O-temper foil alloys

Abstract

In this article, the effect of various microstructural features on the tensile properties of foil alloys was established by using laboratory processing to engineer a range of model microstructures. By separating grain size and solid-solution effects from the overall measured strength, the strengthening available from second-phase particles was shown.
