Abstract

The equilibrium phase diagram of the Selenium-Tellurium system up to 100% Te has been constructed from DTA thermograms considering both the endothermic effect on heating and the exothermic effect on cooling. The obtained results are compared with previously published data. An eutectic point is observed at the composition of TeSe30 and 190°C during the supercooling process. Variation of the density and the temperature of crystallization with Te concentration are given. Also, the lattice parameters in the supercool strongly region (0–30 at % Te) are determined usingX-ray diffraction.
