Lattice dynamics of noble metals on modified Bhatia’s model

Abstract

Phonon spectra and lattice heat capacities of copper, silver and gold have been calculated on the basis of modifiedBhatia’s model. Calculated phonon dispersion curves as well as (θ−T) curves of copper, silver and gold are found to give reasonable agreements with the experimental data.
