Abstract
A Monte Carlo simulation code has been designed to study the spatial distributions of heavy ions in an amorphous element. The LSS formalism has been applied in terms of Thomas-Fermi potential. The code has been used to study the penetration of11Na23 in79Au191,47Ag108 and32Ge67, while36Kr84 has been studied in79Au197,47Ag108. The selected range of incident energy is (5–600) keV. The results demonstrate good agreement with experimental data.
