Summary
The counting ratevs. Bragg-angle curve obtained with a single crystal neutron spectrometer shows fluctuations. Several of these fluctations are identified as due to double Bragg-reflections by the crystal. The values of differential coherent inelastic scattering cross-section by A1 (111) are obtained at a few angles for many incident neutron energies. The effect of this is found to be very small.
