Laryngoplasty using mucous membrane graft

Abstract

Various methods of treating laryngeal stenosis have been described in the literature. The usual techniques are Skin grafting insertion of stents or moulds or repeated dilatation. A permanent tracheostomy is often the final answer. The buccal mucous membrane has been used as a graft in two of our cases. The results with this method are satisfactory.
