Abstract
A convenient method for the preparation of N-aryl thiazolines4a,b, 2,2-dichlorothiophene5, thiazolinones6 and8, and 2,6-dihydrothiopyran 2-thione9 derivatives is described. This depends on interaction of 3,3-dimercapto-1-(4-biphenyl)-2-propen-1-one1 with dichloroethane, amines, trichloroacetylchloride, chloroacetamide, ethylene oxide and epichlorohydrin. Antimicrobial activity of the obtained products was studied.
