A note on the thoracoscope in the treatment of spontaneous pneumothorax

Summary

The pathogenesis of spontaneous pneumothorax is outlined.

Arguments are adduced in support of performing thoracoscopy and intrapleural pneumolysis as early as possible in these cases

Two cases so treated are summarised.
