Riassunto
Dopo una sommaria esposizione del fenomeno della scissione dei nuclei pesanti viene esaminata la possibilità, seguendo la traccia di alcuni recenti lavori, che la osservata asimmetria nella massa dei frammenti prodotti dalla fissione alle basse energie sia interpretabile nell’ambito del modello nucleare a goccia.
Summary
A brief description of the fission of heavy nuclei is given and the possibility is examined, following some recent works, that the asymmetry of fission fragments might be explained on the liquid drop model assumptions.
