A short review is presented of the surgery of aortic aneurysms.

(2)
Three cases are reported:

(a)
Ruptured aneurysm of the abdominal aorta, treated by resection and poly vinyl alcohol sponge replacement.

(b)
Thoracic aneurysm complicating coarctation of the aorta treated by resection and polyvinyl sponge replacement.

(c)
Ruptured aneurysm of the left common iliac artery treated by excision and end-to-end anastomosis.
