An energy-dependent nucleus-nucleus potential from the elastic model

Summary

In the present work we suggest an expression for the real part of the nuclear part of the nucleus-nucleus potential which arises in a natural way in the framework of the elastic model for the heavy-ion fusion. This potentialV N is energy dependent and it is such thatV N+V C<E,V C is the Coulomb potential,E is the centre-of-mass energy.
