Summary
Kustaanheimo’s spinor linearization of the Kepler problem is written in anSL 2,c -covariant formalism. Two canonical versions are constructed; in one of them the Newtonian time is a dynamical variable. In the other version, the group of linear transformations which permutes orbits is isomorphic toO 4,2, and the intersection of this group with the symplectic group is isomorphic toO 4.
