Analysis and computation of the magnetic field produced by non-radial deflectors

Abstract

Analytical expressions are given for computing the magnetic potential and characteristic functions produced by the non-radial deflectors. These expressions are useful for designing the deflectors such as those used in the color picture tubes and the electron beam lithography system. The computing results are in agreement with the measured values.
